Patient Transformation Stories: Carly's Back to School after Revision

Patient Transformation Stories: Carly
After

Description

“You can be a masterpiece and a work in progress at the same time.” -Carly @carlyanncan I can’t remember where I heard or saw that phrase, but I felt it deeply when I came across it. The last few years I’ve really prioritized my mental and physical health. My surgiversary came and went this week, but you know... I’m a teacher and it was back to school this week so social media wasn’t my priority. Since last July I’m down about 90 pounds and 70 since my revision last August. I remember last year having a big cry fest the day before my surgery but it wasn’t because I was nervous about surgery, I was more nervous about missing a week of work right after the first day of school!! It was all worth it though! In the last year, I have: - Had no reflux - Stopped taking any medication for diabetes and have a PERFECT A1C - Improved blood pressure - Been much more active - HAD NO REFLUX - Gone from a size 2x shirt to a Medium/Large and size 16/18 pants to an 8/10 - Discovered so many activities that I love to do - And SO MUCH MORE!!!!
