My name is Anna. I had my surgery on August 22, 2019. I have suffered for years with Crohn’s disease. I had a portion of my colon removed at nineteen and from then on, I was in and out of the hospital, having infections, and receiving treatments. When I decided to have the gastric sleeve, I consulted my specialist and other doctors. I was hoping that this surgery wouldn’t effect the crohns negatively. With their approval, I decided to go ahead with it and I am so glad I did! Now, six months later, I am better than I have been in years. My Crohn's is in remission and I feel like i did before I ever had the first symptom. Losing weight is what I came for, but along with the weight, I lost symptoms, pain, and the fear of going back into the hospital with problems due to crohns.
